The Cisco Firepower 1000 Series is a group of four Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) security products that are threat-focused and provide superior threat defence to increase company survivability. When enabled, it provides remarkable sustained performance for sophisticated threat functions. The throughput range of the 1000 Series targets use cases for the Internet edge, remote branch offices, small offices, and home offices. Software from Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) are used on systems in the 1000 Series.
